The "RED" Card:
A "red card", also known as a "Know Your Rights" card is a small card with basic information on your rights and ways you can defend yourself if you come into contact with federal immigration agents. These cards have been widely distributed by many sources including LAUSD (LA Unifed School District), LAPL (LA Public Library), and many other immigrant advocacy services.

ICE OPERATIONS IN LOS ANGELES:


The current administration announced Tuesday, Feb 3 that it would allow ICE & CBP (Immigration and Customs Enforcement & Customs and Border Protection) to conduct arrests in sensitive areas such as schools and churches, dismantling policies dating back to 2011. The Los Angeles Times has reported in this article that a leaked memo Federal law enforcement agents are planning to carry out a “large scale” immigration enforcement action in the Los Angeles area before the end of February, according to an internal government document reviewed by The Times.
